»FROM FANTASY, TO THE BEST ORGANIZED EXTREME CYCLING RACE IN EUROPE«

It was year 2003, when I/Slovene, participated on the toughest extreme cycling race on this planet called RAAM (Race Across America). I was a member of one of the escorting crews of the 3 Slovenes who tried themselves on this race. When I saw all the misery and glory of such challenge almost 5000km in length with very little rest I made a decision in my mind: this project has to be presented to Slovenians in a whole. 

I had been thinking on and on how and especially in which way bring this race to Slovenia. It happened in 2007 when I & my organizing team made my dreams come true and of course of all those who participated on the historical extreme cycling race, 1182 km in length.   Race protruded largely into European and World association of extreme races and received numerous praises worldwide already after it's premiere.   RAS Extreme or Race Around Slovenia was born!

But we haven`t said our last word. Here comes RAS 2011, 5th in a row, better & more attractive. You already know how it goes: Slovenes are a nation capable of the most extreme achievements. We have clear and real goals. Show them to us and we will reach them!
